He's on my side!

Scripture: "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8

Observation: There are so many things on this earth that tell us we can't do things. We see things that should be changed yet things are put in our way to tell us to turn around and leave it alone. When God places a dream on our hearts, he already has looked beyond what we see to what will happen...IF we choose to obey his commands. Sometimes things can seem so impossible to us, but remember that the Lord made heaven and earth, there is no task that is too much for him to handle. When you obey Him and have Him with you, there is nothing you can't do.

Application: I have a lot of things going on at work. I need to obey the Lord and stop letting my own doubts get in the way of the dreams God's placed on my heart. I need to understand that there will be days when I just feel like I can't go on, but I need to remember two things: there were days before that I felt like I couldn't go on, but God was there to get me through it and I'm still here, and also, God could end my suffering in an instant, but without my suffering, I may not become the person He's created me to be.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my shield. I thank You for mapping out my future and planning all these bumps in the road so that I may become stronger in You. Please help me to always be mindful of this fact. Lord, it's amazing to know that the Creator of the earth and heaven is with me, guiding me through this life. Lord, let me always feel Your guiding hand on my shoulder and please, pull me back anytime I stray from the path you set before me, by any means necessary. Amen.
